Devotion – due Friday!

-You and your partner (if you choose to have a partner) will create a devotion to give to the class on an assigned day.

-You must include the following: Bible verse, lesson or story with a message, prayer

-You may also include a video or song or other media, but it must be approved by the teacher.

-You will be graded on your teamwork, requirements met, and your message

Math: Today we will correct p. 345 and 353.  Please have that ready.  Please do your test today. It will be sent in a google form. Be sure to save your scratch paper for if I have any questions.

Literature: Today you will read section  of Ivan, p. 135-168. You can choose to do it with a partner if you’d like. Assignment: Do Section 5 Understanding the Story worksheet. (W) make sure you are keeping your character chart updated. You will need 8 characters when we are done. (both sides)

Book report will be due April 8th! The form was sent to you in an email.

Read at least 25 minutes everyday!

Vocab/Spelling: Vocabulary packet for Ivan (Vocabulary studies for sections 4, 5, and 6) due Thursday. Below is a list of the words for this week. This list should also be with your Ivan materials. Vocab/spelling tests on Thursday.

 Day in the Life Story – 1st person perspective

Planning sheet – should include: 1. Introduction (What should I say to introduce myself? What attention getting strategy should I use? sound, talking, question) 2. Body (Main events during a day and how you will describe them) 3. Conclusion (How will I bring the story to a close and wrap up my day?)

Please have planning sheet done for Wednesday.

California History/Math Extra Credit: Create a game using Bloxels depicting the California Gold Rush. The mission of your game: your character needs to get to Gold Country and make money. The character can take different routes to get there, run into different hardships along the way, collect useful things along the way. In the end, your character wins if they find gold or start a business in gold country. You can either create your own characters or use ones that are there already. Have fun!

Dress days for the week: Wednesday – crazy socks and/or favorite hat. Thursday – dress like your favorite t.v. show or movie character. Friday – wear red, white, and blue to support the U.S.A.!
