These are things that you should make sure to remember when you are working on your documentary.
____ 4th grade student is the director of this, they welcome help from others but they have the final say in how the documentary is made.  Students should be very thankful to their parents for any help they will give, whether it is driving, taking video, and etc.
______ Documentary is to be done in imovie
______  Total length is to be between 3-7 minutes
______ Documentaries are fact based, so don’t give a lot of opinions
______ You should include interesting facts and important facts
______ Pictures and video should be both used
______ Printed words should be easy to read and spelled correctly
______ All pictures and video need to be clear and well taken
______ All sound that is used should be at a similar volume
______ Any spoken words should be said slowly and clearly
______ Introduce the documentary with the topic and your name at the beginning of the video
______ Interview an expert on your topic ( make sure this is done well with lighting and sound )
_______  Have well thought out questions to ask the person you are interviewing
_______  Best to put clips of your interview throughout the documentary.  A long interview can get boring.  Your interview should take up no more then a total of 25% of your documentary.  Very important that we can hear the interview.
_______  At the end of the documentary give written credit to the people who helped you and any other credits that need to be given.
_______ Do not include out takes
_______  Music is not required.  If music is used it should be appropriate to the topic and not be the main focus (only used in moderation as background music.)
_______  Be creative, enthusiastic, and most important polite  when you are visiting anywhere, or meeting anyone that is going to be part of your video
_______ Enjoy and Be Proud of your Work !!
